12 Lessons From My Freshman Year
"Lovely Lord, You are all to me,
Lovely Lord, full of purity
Worthy of honor and majesty
Lord how lovely you are to me"
These lines remind me of the first few days of my Freshman year. The days I lived without knowing the peril I'll face in a few weeks. As painful as it really is. The pain of regret and the regret of not being mature. Yesterday, I wrote to Him: "I love you, Lord. Thank you for breaking me and building me again, filling the gaps in my broken vessel with these beautiful bittersweet lessons. I love you"
1. How not to fall for a person.
2. Faith more than visible wonders is what exactly makes mountains move. (Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.)
3. You should not give up on prayer, no matter how intense the distracting thoughts are.
4. Satan is already defeated and has no power or authority over you. (Movie: War room)
5. Be wise when you have emotional talks with someone.
6. Every 'church person' need not always be a believer.
7. You need to stop wasting time over thoughts that aren't pleasant in God's eyes.
8. Don't wait for perfection. Develop what you have "now". Work on what you have "now". Because all you have is "now". In fact, there is no perfection without hard work.
9. "Satan trembles when he sees the weakest Christian on his knees".
10. Clear your doubts and cleanse the path.
11. God is the best creator of perfectly knitted love stories.
12. God will never turn away from a repentant heart that longs for him. (Isaiah 41:13 - When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. )
